Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic care is a hands-on, non-invasive drug-free practice that can safely and effectively help relieve pain and improve your pet’s overall body function.  It focuses on your pet’s spine, muscles, and nervous system and treats the bones, muscles, soft tissues, and joints that your pet uses every day. Animal chiropractors evaluate the function and structure of the spine, extremities, and skull for any abnormalities.  These abnormalities, called subluxations, are places where the vertebrae and joints are out of alignment or abnormally positioned.  Subluxations are manually moved back into a normal position by using a short “thrust” that is applied very specifically in the correct direction.  A spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical device called an Activator adjusting instrument is often used allowing the chiropractor to provide a quick, low-force impulse at the specific point requiring adjustment. Some pets will benefit from one or two adjustments while others will require a more routine treatment schedule to keep their body moving well.

Chiropractic care can be helpful for many conditions like:

  • Arthritis
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Neck and back concerns
  • Lameness caused by repetitive action or trauma
  • Gastrointestinal disease
  • Chronic health issues

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a painless treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to promote and accelerate the body’s natural healing processes. Laser therapy is a painless treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to promote and accelerate the body’s natural healing processes. MLS (Multiwave Locked System) laser therapy is a form of low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also referred to as cold laser, that uses multiple wavelengths of light to stimulate the healing of damaged tissues. This type of laser therapy stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) which speeds up the healing process, reduces pain and swelling, improves range of motion, and provides soothing warmth to the area of application.  Laser therapy can be used alone or in combination with other therapies like acupuncture or chiropractic care.

Laser therapy can be used to treat or manage various conditions like:

  • Arthritis
  • Hip and elbow dysplasia
  • Joint pain or injury
  • Disc Disease
  • Tendon and ligament injury
  • Wound healing
  • Recurring Anal Gland issues
