New Clients

By Uncategorized One Comment

Thank you for taking the time research our veterinary practice.  It is heartwarming to see the increasing interest in integrative medicine and the desire to help our furry family members live their best lives!

Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to accept new clients due to the increased demands of heartworm season.  While we are actively searching for another veterinarian to add to our team, at this time we are struggling to meet the needs of our current patients and they must remain our priority.

If your furry family member has an urgent health concern that you are looking to support with integrative medicine, please call the office and one of our staff members will discuss any options that may be available.

Once the flush of heartworm season has passed, we hope to begin accepting new clients once again.  If you would like to be contacted at a later date, please fill out a New Client Referral form on our website.  At this time, our estimated re-opening to new clients will be July or August.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we want to make certain that we can offer your furry family member the time and care as they deserve.

Tick and flea control in your yard

By Uncategorized No Comments

As we come into tick season in a few weeks, there are some things you can do to help cut down on the number of ticks and or fleas that may be on your property. Here is a quick list for your yard

  • Remove leaf litter.
  • Clear tall grasses and brush around homes and at the edge of lawns.
  • Place a 3-ft wide barrier of wood chips or gravel between lawns and wooded areas to restrict tick migration into recreational areas.
  • Mow the lawn frequently.
  • Stack wood neatly and in a dry area (discourages rodents).
  • Keep playground equipment, decks, and patios away from yard edges and trees.
  • Discourage unwelcome animals (such as deer, raccoons, and stray dogs) from entering your yard by constructing fences.
  • Remove old furniture, mattresses, or trash from the yard that may give ticks a place to hide.
